Ingredients of Simple Jambalaya
- Take 2 tbsp of olive oil.
- It’s 1/2 cup of onion, chopped.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of green bell pepper, chopped.
- It’s 3 clove of garlic, minced.
- You need 1 lb of andouille sausage, sliced in 1/4" pieces.
- You need 1 can of stewed tomatoes, chopped (I like mine small).
- Prepare 1 cup of chicken broth.
- Make ready 3/4 cup of long grain rice.
- You need 1 pinch of salt &pepper.
Simple Jambalaya step by step
- Heat oil in large sauce pan over med-high heat.
- Add onion, bell pepper and garlic. Saute until tender.
- Add andouille, tomatoes, broth and rice. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low-med and cover. Simmer for 25-30 minutes (or until rice is tender).
- Salt & pepper to taste.
