Ingredients of Chicken Madras

  1. Take 1 of Onion.
  2. It’s 2 of garlic cloves.
  3. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ginger.
  4. Take 1/2 of chilli.
  5. Take 1 tsp of vegetable oil.
  6. Take 1/2 tsp of turmeric.
  7. You need 1 tsp of ground cumin.
  8. Make ready 1 tsp of coriander.
  9. Make ready 2 tsp of hot chilli powder.
  10. It’s 4 of chicken breasts, cut into chunks.
  11. It’s 400 g of can chopped tomatoes.
  12. You need of Coriander, chopped.
  13. It’s of Server with rice and/or naan.

Chicken Madras step by step

  1. Blitz onion, garlic cloves, ginger and chilli together in a food processor until it becomes a coarse paste..
  2. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large saucepan and add the paste, fry for 5 mins, until softened. If it starts to stick to the pan at all, add a splash of water..
  3. Tip in turmeric, cumin, coriander and hot chilli powder and stir well, cook for a couple of mins to toast them a bit, then add 4 chicken. Stir and make sure everything is covered in the spice mix..
