Masa/waina Recipe. Waina is basically a slightly fermented rice meal that is accompanied with a Nigerian soup like. Masa or Waina is a rice cake that is from the northern part of Nigeria and is traditionally eaten by the Hausa tribe.

You can cook Masa/waina using 7 ingredients and 2 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Masa/waina

  1. Prepare 3 cups of white rice.
  2. It’s 1/2 of cooked rice.
  3. Prepare 1 tablespoon of instant yeast.
  4. Prepare 1 cup of youghurt.
  5. Prepare 2 tablespoon of sugar(optional).
  6. It’s 1/2 of vegetable oil.
  7. You need 1 of medium size onions.
