Ingredients of Lauki/ kaddu ke koftey
- You need 2 of Nortel gourd grated.
- Make ready 2 of Onion chopped.
- Prepare 2 tsp of Red Chilli powder.
- You need of Salt as per taste.
- Take 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- It’s 3 cups of Gram Flour.
- You need 1 pinch of Aamchur powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Coriander powder.
- It’s 3 of Tomatoes for puree.
- You need 3 of Green chilli.
- Take 1 of red chilli powder.
- You need 3 cups of Water.
- Make ready As needed of Oil (sufficient for frying).
- Make ready 5 tsp of Oil (for gravy).
- You need 2 tsp of Garlic paste.
- Make ready 2 of Bay leaf.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Cumin seeds.
Lauki ke kofte is a totally mouth watering preparation that will make this usually less favorite vegetable lauki, one of the most favorites.Peel and grate one small size bottle gourd (lauki).Discard any big size seeds in the center when grating.Lauki Ke Kofte recipe or gourd savoury is all about grating gourd , mixing it in the mixture of Gram flour, salt and chilli flakes.
Lauki/ kaddu ke koftey step by step
- Take lauki /kaddu and wash it properly and grate it.
- Now squeeze all the water from grated kaddu and keep the the water(kaddu stock) aside.
- Now take a bowl, Add grated squeezed kaddu in a bowl……Add gramflour, Red chilli powder, salt, Coriander and Aamchur powder and mix all the ingredients with clean hands….
- Now take a pan…Heat oil in a pan.
- Make small balls of kaddu or any desired shape and deep fry in oil until golden brown.
- Now take them in any bowl or tissue paper to remove excess oil.
- Now take a kadhai….Heat oil…Add cumin seeds,Bay leaf, Garlic and green and red chillies and onions and mix them well and cook well until onions are soft and aromatic.
- Now add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
- When oil separates…Then add kaddu stock add water and boil the mixture.
- Now add kaddu koftas and stir all the ingredients and Cook for 15 minutes more.
