Ingredients of Tiranga pulao

  1. You need 250 grms of boiled basmati rice.
  2. Take 1 cup of spinach chopped.
  3. Make ready 2 of green chilles.
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of mint leaves.
  5. You need 1 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
  6. Make ready 1 of grated carrot.
  7. You need 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  8. Take 1 tsp of ginger paste.
  9. Make ready 5 of cashewnuts.
  10. Take 1 of star anise.
  11. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  12. You need 1 tbsp of garam masala powder or pulao masala.
  13. Prepare 1/4 tsp of green and orange food colour.

Tiranga pulao instructions

  1. 1)For white rice.
  2. Heat a pan add 1tbsp oil add zeera when zeera starts to crackle add green cardmom, kaju, green chilli chopped fry fr a minute, next add salt and boiled rice.
  3. Mix well and cook on low flame.
  4. Now ur white rice is ready. Keep aside.
    1. for orange rice.
  5. Take a pan add 1 tbsp oil.
  6. Add cardmom, pepper, and cloves, ginger paste and grated carrot.
  7. Fry for a minute.
  8. Next add red chilli powder, pinch orange colour.
  9. Add boiled rice, salt and garam masala powder.
  10. Cook for 2mins on low flame.
  11. Now ur orange rice is ready. Keep aside.
    1. For green rice.
  12. Blanch spinach once it cools add spinach and 1green chilli,mint leaves in mixer grinder and make puree.
  13. Heat oil in a pan,.
  14. Add cardmom, pepper cinnamon and cloves.
  15. Next ginger paste, spinach puree cook for 2 mins.
  16. Next add boiled rice,salt green colour, garam masala powder,coriander leaves mix everything well.
  17. Cook for 2 mins on low flame.
  18. Now ur green rice is ready. Keep aside.
  19. For garnishing : take steel round tin and lay orange colour rice for first layer next add white rice lastly green rice.
