Ingredients of Boondi ki kadhi
- Take 1/2 cup of Gram flour / Besan.
- It’s 1 cup of Yogurt / Dahi (Sour Curd).
- Make ready 1 1/2 cup of Boondi.
- Make ready 2 of Green chillies chopped.
- Make ready 1 tablespoon of Ginger chopped.
- Make ready 1 teaspoon of Black Salt / Kala Namak.
- It’s 1 teaspoon of Salt or to taste.
- You need 1 teaspoon of Red Chilli powder.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder.
- Make ready 1 teaspoon of Coriander Powder.
- It’s 1/2 teaspoon of Garam Masala Powder.
- Take 1 tablespoons of Lemon Juice (optional).
- Prepare 5 glasses of Water.
- Take of Tempering.
- Take 2 teaspoon of Desi Ghee.
- Make ready 1/4 teaspoon of Asafoetida powder.
- It’s 1 teaspoon of Cumin Seeds.
- It’s 1/2 teaspoon of Red Chilli powder.
- You need 8 of Curry Leaves.
- Take 2 of Cloves.
- Take 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
Boondi ki Kadhi- Boondi kadhi has a unique taste as every bite contains a taste of boondi dipped in kadhi.Boondi kadhi is an amazing variation to a typical Punjabi kadhi recipe.Pakora Kadhi is very famous, but boondi kadhi has a unique taste as every bite contains a taste of boondi dipped in kadhi.Punjabi Style Boondi Kadhi is a yogurt based side dish made with curd and gram flour.
Boondi ki kadhi instructions
- Take a big and deep cooking pan, whisk curd and gram flour to make a smooth batter.
- Now add 5 glasses of water,chopped ginger,green chilies and all spices, except boondi..
- Let it boil on high flame for 5 - 6 minutes keep stirring constantly..
- When it starts boiling then lower the flame and let it simmer for 35 minutes. Keep stirring from time to time.
- For Tempering – heat ghee in a small pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida,when it start crackling add curry leaves, cloves, when done add chilli powder and pour on the boiling kadhi.
- Switch off the flame and add boondi and lemon juice and mix.
- Cover the kadhi for 5 minutes so that the boondi will soften and swell up and absorb all the flavors.
- Serve hot and delicious Kadhi with Boiled Rice and Chapatis.
