Ingredients of Chilli parotta

  1. Take 5 of Wheat Parottas.
  2. You need 1 of Onion big, sliced.
  3. Prepare 1 of Onion big, diced.
  4. Take 2 of Capsicum, diced.
  5. Make ready 2 of Tomato, chopped.
  6. Take 2 of Carrot, cut into strips.
  7. Take 2 of Egg.
  8. Make ready 1 cup of coriander leaves, chopped.
  9. Make ready 1 inch of Ginger, minced.
  10. Take 3 cloves of Garlic, minced.
  11. Take 4 of Green chilies, chopped.
  12. You need 2 of Bay leaves.
  13. You need 3 – 4 tbsp of Stock / water.
  14. Prepare 1/2 of lemon juice.
  15. It’s 3 tbsp of Oil.
  16. It’s to taste of Salt.
  17. Prepare of Dry spices:.
  18. Make ready 1 1/2 tbsp. of Chilli powder.
  19. It’s 1/4 tbsp. of Turmeric powder.
  20. Take 1/2 tbsp. of Cumin powder.
  21. You need 1/2 tbsp. of Garam masala.
  22. Prepare of Sauces:.
  23. You need 1 tbsp of Soy sauce.
  24. Prepare 2-3 tbsp of Tomato ketchup.
  25. Make ready 2 tbsp of Chilli sauce.

If you do not have a chilli sauce, use red chilli powder or a red chilli paste.A handful of vegetables such as carrots, beans, peas, cabbage makes a healthy and nutritious addition.This Chilli Parotta Recipe is nothing but regular parotta's teared into bite sized pieces and tempered with onion, capsicum and sauted in sauces.Actually in restaurants, the parotta's are dipped in batter and deep fried in oil till crispy.

Chilli parotta instructions

  1. Left over parottas, cut/ tear the Parottas into bite able cube size..
  2. This is optional: at this stage you can make thin batter, as explained above and dip the Parotta pieces and immediately fry them until little crisp. Strain the excess oil..
  3. In a heavy bottom pan heat oil, papaya in the ginger, garlic, green chilli, bay leaves and saute for 1 minute. Add in half the quantity of sliced onions and saute well until it starts to turn golden brown..
  4. Now add in the dry spices, saute and then add in the tomatoes. Stir and smash the tomatoes and add salt..
  5. It is optional to add in the shredded chicken or meat..
  6. Beat the eggs to make it fluffy and pour the batter on the side of the pan and scramble the eggs on high flame. Papaya in the remaining vegetables including onions. Give a good stir, to mix well with the spices and papaya in all the sauces..
  7. Now add in the cooked Parotta cubes and saute well, for all the sauces and spices to mix together. Pour in the 3 spoon of stock / water and check for the final spices. Cook this on high flame and keep on stirring, until the stock evaporates..
  8. Squeeze lemon juice and add coriander leaves. Serve it as it is or with thick yogurt. Kids would love for their tiffin..
