Ingredients of Bhavnagri Sev Gathiya

  1. Take 2 cup of fine besan.
  2. You need 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda/ gathiya soda.
  3. Take 1/2 teaspoon of ajwain.
  4. It’s 1/2 tea spoon of black pepper.
  5. Prepare 1/4 tea spoon of hing.
  6. Prepare as per taste of Salt.
  7. Prepare 1/2 cup of oil.
  8. It’s as required of Oil (fry).

Bhavnagri Sev Gathiya step by step

  1. Take mixture jar and add oil + water(same quantity) + hing+ salt..bland it well.. until it becomes white colour.
  2. Pour this mixture into flour slightly. make a dough like paratha. kneading well.. till it should not be sticky. It should be soft, smooth, and slightly changes it's color..
  3. Heat oil.. not too hot.. wet your palm with water and spread dough over gathiya jara.. spread with you palm..fry on slow flam.. it takes time to fry.. dont change the colour…
  4. If you dont have gathiyajara you can use your palm. And roll the dough on rolling pan…and press.. twisting it every time you lift your palm. make gathiya, roll the dough between your finger and palm..
  5. Make sure.. when you fry gathiya oil should not be too hot…
  6. Spreakle hing…

Drain out the oil and place it on a kitchen towel so it absorbs the extra oil.This is a Recipe for making at home the famous and popular Bhavnagari Sev-Gathiya.This is a crisp and crunchy Sev, which can make your Diwali Faral Plate appear attractive and decorative.
