- Make ready of For cheela.
- Take 1 cup of besan.
- Take 1 of finely chopped green chilli.
- You need to taste of Salt red pepper powder.
- Take 1/4 tsp of ajwain and saunf.
- Take 1 tsp of oil.
- Make ready of For filling.
- You need 1 of small onion finely chopped.
- Make ready 4-5 of garlic cloves.
- It’s 1 of green chilli.
- Take leaves of Fresh coriander and mint.
- Make ready as needed of Salt pepper, dry dhaniya powder and pinch of turmeric powder.
- Take 1 tsp of oil.
- You need of For gravy.
- It’s 3-4 of onions finely chopped.
- It’s 2 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
- Prepare 2-3 of tomato puréed.
- You need 1 tbsp of oil.
- Prepare 1 tsp of jeera.
- You need as needed of Salt pepper powder, dry dhaniya powder and turmeric powder accordingly.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Fresh coriander leaves for garnish.

Besan cheela sabzi or vegetarian fish step by step
- Mix all the ingredients of besan cheela ina bowl and make a pouring consistency batter with the help of water. Keep it aside for few minutes.
- Mix all the ingredients of filling in a mixer and churn them roughly. Take a pan and pour oil in it and cook the masala for 2 minutes.
- Now heat a tawa and clean it as we clean it for Dosa.
- Put some oil in it and pour 1 tbsp besan batter to make cheela.
- Spread oil towards the edges and slow down the flame and cover it. After 2 minutes it will come out of the tawa. Put masala filling in the center and fold it from both the sides. Now turn it and cook it for 2 minutes or until it gets brown colour. Cheela is ready.
- For gravy heat a pan put oil in it. Crackle jeera and put finely chopped onions. Sauté them until they get translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2-3 minutes. After that put tomato purée and mix well.
- Add dry masalas and cook until the mixture leaves the oil.
- Now cut cheela in pieces and add into the gravy. Pour 1 glass of water and cover pan.after 5/7 minutes your cheela sabzi is ready to serve..
- It is also called vegetarian fish because it looks like it. Garnish it with some fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati.
