  1. It’s 200 gms of urad dal.
  2. It’s 30 gms of chana dal.
  3. It’s 15 gms of rice.
  4. You need 1 of onion finely chopped.
  5. Take 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
  6. Take 1 inch of ginger finely chopped.
  7. You need 2 tablespoons of coriander finely chopped.
  8. Take 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
  9. You need 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Baked medu vada instructions

  1. Wash and soak urad dal, chana dal, and rice in water overnight. In the morning drain off all the water..And grind the mixture of dal and rice to a fine paste. Add about 1/4 cup of water while grinding to make the finest paste.
  2. Add salt, finely chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, coriander and baking soda to the ground batter.preheat oven at 220 degree celcius. Pour in the batter in the donut mould (i have got a silicone, you can also use metal mould). Bake at 220 degrees celcius for about 15 mins. Remove and let them naturally leave the sides of mould for about 2 minutes. Demould and serve hot with coconut chutney.
