Ingredients of Lontong (Rice Cake)
- You need 1 1/2 c of long grain rice.
- You need 6 c of water (add more hot water if needed).
- Prepare 1 tbsp of salt.
- It’s 1 sheet of banana leaf (optional).
Lontong (Rice Cake) step by step
- Wash rice 2-3 times and put it in rice cooker..
- Add salt and water and turn on the rice cooker. If your rice cooker is too small add water (boiling hot) when the Cook button is off, and cook again..
- When it starts to bubble, stir every now and then. Cook until Keep Warm button is on..
- Lay a deep casserole dish with clean banana leaf..
- Put the very sticky wet porridge into the dish and spread it out. Cover with banana leaf and make sure to cover all corners. Cool it down..
