  1. First soak the dry fish into a bowl of water for 20 minutes. After 20.minutes take it out and pat dry. Cut the fish into small pieces..
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the fish pieces. Fry both sides well. Keep aside the fish pieces..
  3. Add grated coconut, dry red chilli, curry leaves  and shallots into the same pan and saute it till the coconut turns light brown in color..
  4. Now crush the fried fish and the coconut mixture together using a mortar and pestle. Mix it well..
  5. Adding a few drops of coconut oil will enhance the taste..
