- It’s 2 cups of Cholar Dal(Bengal Gram)-.
- Make ready 1 Tsp of Sugar-.
- Make ready 1 pinch of Asafoetida-.
- Make ready 1/2 tsp of Garam Masala-.
- You need 1 tsp of Cumin Powder-.
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
- You need As required of Oil for frying.
- It’s for of Curry–.
- Make ready 4 Tbsp of Mustard oil.
- Prepare 2 pieces of Green chillies.
- You need 2 pieces of Bay leaves(Tej patta).
- It’s 2 pieces of Cardamoms.
- It’s 1 piece of Cinnamon-.
- It’s 4-5 of cloves.
- It’s 1 tsp of Cumin seeds-.
- Take 2-3 of Tomatoes diced.
- Prepare 1 of Onion ,Chopped.
- Make ready 1 tbsp of Ginger Paste.
- It’s 1 tbsp of Garlic Paste.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Onion Paste.
- You need 1 tsp of Cumin Powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Red Chilli Powder.
- You need to taste of Salt and Sugar.
- It’s 1 tsp of Ghee.
Bengali Tomato Chutney is prepared as a sweet and spicy dish and is popularly served with papad.The preparation doesn't take much time and can be cooked very easily.Chana dal or Cholar Dal is not an exception.High in fiber and protein content, Chana Dal is a really good choice to be included in our regular meals.
Rice,Narkel Cholar Dal,Dhokar Dalna and Mishty Tomato Chutney step by step
- For Dhoka Soak Cholar dal(bengal gram) in water overnight.Then strain water from it in the morning, and grind it.Add salt, sugar and water(if needed).
- Add 6tbsp oil in a pan and heat it and put the grinded dal in it.And stir it continously in high flame.Add salt and chilli powder in the paste..
- Then take a big round plate and grease with ghee and put the cooked paste in it and spread it.Now cut it with a knife in a rectangle shape(you can give any shape you want)..
- Heat oil in a pan(deep fry) and fry the rectangles one by one.And keep aside ol once you are done..
- Then heat oil in a pan and put bay leaves, cumin seeds, cinnamon,cardamom, cloves it it.Stir a little..
- Now put chopped onions in it and fry till it changes it's colour to golden brown.Add garlic paste, onion paste, ginger paste and diced tomatoes.Stir it in medium flame..
- Add Salt,Sugar, turmeric powder, chilli powder,cumin powder in it.And stir it well..
- When the curry starts leaving oil put 2-3 cups water in it and cover it.When it starts boiling start putting Dhoka one by one very gently..
- Cover it for 5-7mins.After that open the lid and put 1tbsp of ghee and garam masala on the top and cover it again for few mins..
- And your Dhokar Dalna is ready. Spread some chopped coriander and it and then serve. Enjoy!!!….π.
